Fiducenter (Cyprus) Ltd conducted a high level conference mainly sponsored by Marfin Laiki Bank.  The conference was held at the Ajax Hotel, in Limassol on 9 -10 February, with a restricted number of participants from around the world.

Through the conference, the organisers aimed to inform foreign professionals and entrepreneurs about all aspects of the International Business sector in Cyprus, presented by experts on each field, whether coming from the private or the public sector, representing their industry.

Themed “Cyprus in International Business Planning”, the seminar examined all the background information with regards to Cyprus, starting from a general overview presented by CIPA, going through the specific aspects of the economy, legal, tax, banking, shipping, investment and wealth management, human capital, real estate in some more detail, looked at some attractive vehicles useful for a whole spectrum of purposes and objectives and presented some structures where the use of a Cyprus vehicle could provide significant benefits.

Among the issues covered, were also the stability of the Cyprus banking system, the various measures Cyprus has taken to tackle the world economic crisis, as well as how high net worth individuals could best manage their wealth.

The whole event was enriched with some social events which helped in making the whole stay of participants even more interesting and gave them also a blend of the history of Cyprus and its social life.

The conference was completed with great success and the participants left with a much wider knowledge about Cyprus and the role it has to play in international business planning.
